Street battles, lone warriors and biker gangs. Get it all here…
MAD MAX 2: THE ROAD WARRIOR (1981) – Watch trailer
I’m a big fan of this desolate, post-apocalyptic atmosphere.
Pretty sure the whole Mad Max-trilogy is a huge source of inspiration for a lot of designers and illustrators.
Love the car bodies made of crap. Everything got a little bit of a steampunk touch.
A lot of crazy characters like the mohawk bad guy leave a deep impression.
This is truly a freakshow on several wheels who will lead you into a car crash deluxe.
STREETS OF FIRE (1984) – Watch trailer
And again: biker gangs and freaks. You can expect a neon firework.
All the Ellen Aim scenes look like music opvideos and the music sounds like a rock opera.
I love the visual aesthetic of this movie and that contains the neon scenes at night and the sad mood of the day scenes.
Somehow it has often a ’50s touch.
